Anastasia Goldin is an educator and performing artist in the Bay Area. She is currently serving as the second flutist of the Palo Alto Philharmonic Orchestra and is a substitute in many local ensembles. She was a member of the San Francisco Youth Symphony for two years and performed as the principal flutist in their performance of the New World Symphony. In addition, she was hired to play principal flute in a tour to Eastern Europe with the San Jose Youth Symphony in 2022. She is also a 2024 winner of San Jose State's Concerto Competition and a two-time winner of San Jose Youth Symphony’s Concerto Competition, performing solo with both orchestras.
Anastasia has a degree in Music Education from San Jose State University and is currently getting her Master's degree in Flute Performance, where she studies with Dr. Ray Furuta and formerly, Catherine Payne. She has been teaching for many years and has a wide range of students ranging from ages 6-17, with students getting into top youth orchestras and ensembles in the Bay Area. She also has a growing social media presence on TikTok, where she does collaborations and posts educational videos. Her biggest passion is helping students fall in love with music! Outside of music, she loves hiking, is learning to love running, and loves spending time with her chocolate lab, Phillip.
